My name is Adam McAteer and I am a first year student at Barry University School of Podiatric Medicine. I was born and raised in Cranston, Rhode Island. I later moved to New Orleans, Louisiana to attend Tulane University were I graduated with degrees in Neuroscience, Spanish, and Early Childhood Education. Volunteer work has been an important part of my life from an early age, and I’m grateful that I am able to continue such work throughout my career as a student doctor. I’m thrilled to be given the opportunity to serve on this mission trip, and look forward to all of the new experiences that with allow me to benefit the communities of the Dominican Republic.
